Karen Solis-Murphy, Esq.
Principal Attorney / Founder

Karen is the founder and principal attorney of Solis & Murphy Law Group. She brings an insider's perspective to immigration law, having worked within the U.S. immigration system from multiple angles: deciding cases as an officer with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, assisting immigration judges as a Judicial Law Clerk at the New York Immigration Court, and leading legal teams in both government and private practice. This experience allows her to anticipate how cases are reviewed and to build the strongest possible case for each client. She is fluent in English and Spanish and is admitted to practice in New York and Massachusetts.

Karen is married to Joseph G. Murphy, Esq., who serves as Of Counsel to the firm.

Joseph G. Murphy, Esq.
Of Counsel

Joseph serves as Of Counsel to Solis & Murphy Law Group, bringing nearly a decade of experience in financial regulation and compliance. He earned his J.D. with a concentration in business and corporate law while working full-time. He is currently a Vice President at a global bank, where he works in regulatory reporting quality assurance. Earlier in his career, he supported litigation and financial audits at an economic consulting firm, and drafted and negotiated vendor contracts and service agreements in the healthcare technology sector. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.

Joseph's commitment to the firm's clients is rooted in a long history of public service. As a law student, he worked with underserved communities, representing members of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe in tribal, family, and housing matters, and helping minority- and women-owned businesses gain access to state contracting opportunities. He is married to the firm's founder, Karen Solis-Murphy, and shares her belief that everyone deserves access to quality legal representation. Reggie Murphy

Outside the office, Karen and Joe are proud dog parents to Reggie, a 13-year-old rescue dog who has become an irreplaceable part of the Solis-Murphy family. After a rough start in life, Reggie was given a second chance at a loving home, and his story is a reminder of the power of compassion, second chances, and finding a place where you truly belong.
